I'm not a fan of 3rd party patches as I mentioned in a
previous post. I think that there are too many unknowns and potential problems. Although something I had not thought about was brought to my attention by this
CNet News.com article. ZERT (Zeroday Emergenty Response Team) is not only patching current versions of OS's but also versions that are no longer supported by Microsoft and therefore not being patched by Microsoft. I'm fortunate in that I don't have to support any non-supported versions of Windows, but I know plenty of guys who do. What are they to do unless a third party helps them out?
